Marc Butler:
Welcome to the Kuyahoora Valley Rotary Club’s (KVRC) website. I am privileged to serve as President of the Club for the year beginning July 1, 2024 through June 2025. We are part of a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary International projects include:
Ending Polio
Promoting Peace
Fighting Disease
Providing Clean Water
Supporting Education
Saving Mothers and Children
Growing Local Economies
Protecting the Environment
Disaster Response
Local Rotary projects include:
Student Awards that provide financial support to eligible students seeking to further their education.
Financially supporting local community services such as the ambulance, the library, and the food pantry.
Youth programs such as the fishing derby, field trips to the zoo, 3rd grade dictionaries, and the youth exchange program. The exchange program was on hold because of COVID but is active again. We hope to have an outgoing and incoming student for the 23-24 year.
Community Service Projects such as ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, providing food baskets to families and seniors at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I’m sure I have not covered all of our projects and we are continuously adding new ones.
We hope you will support our community efforts by attending an event, contributing to our fund-raising projects, or better yet, joining our Club!
The RCKV has many members with a significant amount of experience in many fields such as education, the US Military, business, agriculture, medicine and beyond and we are always looking for new members.
If you are interested in attending a meeting to learn more about Rotary or becoming a member contact me or any Rotary member.
Yours in Rotary,
Marc Butler

Tree Planting Project - District 7150
On Saturday morning April 30, 2022, a group of 10 people (Rotarians and volunteers) planted Eastern White Pine saplings at 9509 State Route 28 in Poland, NY. Bob, Bruce, Caleb, Grace, Jeff, John, Leonora, Mikala, Regan and Teri planted the saplings very quickly. It was a bright sunny morning, and the temperature was perfect for the activity.
Congratulations once again Mary Beth, well deserved and definitely earned! I still am astonished at all that you manage to accomplish! It's people like you that hold our community together.
