Diner Dance event to raise funds to support Habitat for Humanity in a project to rehabilitate a home in the Kuyahoora Valley

Kuyahoora Valley Rotary Club's annual fishing derby held at the Kutschkowski ponds on Gage Rd, Newport, NY. Derby for Kuyahoora Valley children up to 12 years old. Contestants were divided in to groups by age and prizes were awarded to the individual with the largest fish caught in each age group. A grand prize was awarded to the individual who the largest fish overall. This year there was a tie for the grand prize therefore 2 grand prizes were awarded.

2012 Annual Fishing Derby at the Klutschkowski Ponds

In 1983, the Kuyahoora Valley Rotary Club sponsored a Tube race on the West Canada Creek as a fund raiser for the club. There were over 1200 participants in the race as single entries or as group entries. In this album you will find pictures from the Observer Dispatch of the event and the entries.
